The Patchouli Essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the Patchouli plant by the process of steam distillation. This plant is a member of a Labiatae family which originates in Southeast Asia. 

The heavy/strong Musky, Woody and Earthy scent of patchouli and its ability to add strong character to a blend has been used for centuries in Perfumes including in the biggest big brands in modern perfumery. 

Patchouli blends well with other essential oils like bergamot, lavender, myrrh, and geranium.

Patchouli has been known to be a natural insect repellent replacement. 

Also ideal for aromatherapy, massage, and in home cleansing products to purify the air as well as surfaces. 

Healing benefits can be attributed to the oil’s anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, sedative and tonic qualities, among other valuable properties.

Safety: Patchouli Essential Oil should be used in dilution and in small amounts in a carrier oil. High concentrations can cause skin irritation and should be patch tested prior to use. External use only, keep away form children. Avoid use in direct sunlight, the eyes, inner nose, and ears. Do not use if pregnant.
