Ruh Khus (Vetiver) Attar

Ruh Khus Attar was developed with our same prised pure Ruh Khus Oil with a hint of Vanilla and Patchouli pure oils (Aprox 3%) to add a more dynamic background range. This sweeter attar is a perfect choice for a new Vetiver sampler while keeping the strong and distinct Ruh Khus profile. 

Vetiver Oil is also known as the Oil of Tranquility due to its soothing and calming effect on the body and mind which is known to assist with insomnia and getting a better nights sleep. It has a beautiful thick, Emerald GREEN colour, with a deep wet earth after rain, minty, woody and mossy scent that is known to stick, linger and project for hours. Can assist with insomnia and getting a better nights sleep.

Vetiver Oil is a natural essential oil that is produced by the process of hydro distillation of the roots of the Vetiver grass. This 100% pure oil is steam distilled in copper pots the traditional way which gives it its emerald green colour. The process of extraction is very intricate and intensive resulting in a low yield, making it a highly sought after essential oil. As with Oud, if stored properly, Vetiver will only get better as it ages. 

This Oil has amazing longevity lasting 9 hours on skin and 2 days on fabric at least. 

The scientific name of the plant from which this Vetiver Oil Green is extracted is Vetiveria Zizanioides, commonly found in Northern India. This is a tall, tough, wiry and perennial grass that grows wild and in bunches and is not cultivated like the other Vetiver in the same family. The harvesting time is October when the Monsoon season is over because the roots need to dry on the ground before they are harvested.

Allow some time for it to grow on you as it has that effect.
