Italian Bergamot Essential Oil

Top note. Fresh citrus scent, sweet with slightly spicy, floral undertones.

Bergamot Essential Oil blends well with Chamomile, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Petitgrain, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang essential oils.

The bergamot is a tiny, fragile tree belongs to the Rutaceae family, having resemblance to other citrus plants, such as orange, Lime and lemon. It yields orange-like fruits twice a year. 

Industry uses Include;

1. Cicatrisant: This property of oil is efficiently use by cosmetic industry to make deodorants ,lotions, soap, creams, skin moisturiser. It is also used in ointments for treating skin marks and acne scars.

2. Analgesic: this essential oil calms down the feeling of pain in the body. It stimulates secretion of Eicosanoid hormones which reduces pain to nerves. Therefore, it is used in making medicines which treats headaches, sprains, muscle aches .

4. Antidepressant & Stimulant: Alpha Pinene and Limonene is present in this oil and are antidepressant and stimulating in nature. They give a sense of mood boosting   and a feeling of freshness helping reduce depression. It also helps by accelerating the circulation of the blood. 

5. Antiperspirant:- Bergamot contains the AB 430 molecule and is the main reason why it used in making deodorants. It inhibits the growth of microbes causing body odour.

Safety: This oil is considered photo-toxic* - avoid direct sun exposure after application. Avoid during pregnancy. Flammable liquid. Adults only, not to be used on children under two years of age without medical advice.
